Club Organization & Rules

P.O.R.K. Organization
1. Club Organization for Panhandle Off-Road Krew will be as follows ~
* Club Meetings to be ran by Robert's Rules of Order.

A.  One member from P.O.R.K. will be elected to be known as "BOSS HOG" (President) will be nominated in November*.

Nominee MUST BE named and a reason as to why they have been nominated.
Nominee must be an "ACTIVE" member of P.O.R.K. and have been a club member for a minimum of 1 full year.

B. "Boss Hog" will choose the following to help him/her - 
    1. Deputy Hog (Vice President)
    2. Hog Admin (Secretary/Treasurer)
    3. Hog Caller (Sergeant of Arms)
    
C. There will be (2) "UNOFFICIAL" positions that will help "Boss Hog".
    1. Web Administrator
    2. Forums Moderator


D. Said NOMINATED Officer(s) will be voted on in December*.

E. Said Officer that has been voted on and wins vote will take office in
    January**
        * = each year
        ** = following year

                
2. Club Donations for Panhandle Off-Road Krew will be as follows ~

A. $20.00 per member per year.

B. Donations should be made by end of January each year.
    1.  Club Donations will cover costs of decals for new members.
    2.  Forum/Website fees if applicable.
    3.  Special Occasions


3. Everyone in Panhandle Off-Road Krew is equal.  Each member is entitled
to "ONE" vote.

6. Bylaws were accepted and ammended 11/21/2009 from original bylaws set 11/2007.

P.O.R.K. Meetings
Date: 3rd Saturday of each month
Time: 6:00pm
Where: PEI Audio Systems
618 A Beal Parkway NW
Ft. Walton Bch., FL
Note: Meeting dates & times are flexible to try and accomodate those members that normally can't attend because of personal or work schedules.

P.O.R.K. Rides
There is (1) Club ride per month on the 3rd Sunday of each month.  The club ride can be organized and lead by any Club Volunteer, also known as the "Trail boss" or "Trail Leader".  CB Channel: 14 

P.O.R.K. Projects
Any Club projects will be discussed at meetings, gatherings, and forums.  A project Coordinator will be agreed on by Club.

P.O.R.K. Membership

New Membership
Any person wanting to be a member of the "Club" must be approved by majority of members present at meeting.

Member Banishment
Any person wanting a member to be banished from the Club, must complete two (2) things.
1. Stand up at a meeting and voice opinion why said member should be banished from Club.
2. 75% of members in attendance at said meeting must be in agreement to banish a member for the Club.

Drinking and Driving
No over abundance of drinking alcohol when on trail.  (Drink Responsibly.)
A few rules and mandatory items while on the trail with us:

1. Everyone in your off-road vehicle while trail riding must be buckled in.
2. No glass bottles allowed while trail riding.
3. You must have some type of attachment point on the front and back of your off-road vehicle. 
4. Flat strap without hooks and No tow chains.
5. Ensure everything in your vehicle is strapped in just in case of a rollover.


We often ride on Eglin AFB recreation areas.  In order to ride on the Eglin AFB reservation ALL people age 16 and older (including passengers) must have a recreation or range permit

The Eglin Natural Resources Branch, locally known as Jackson Guard, is tasked with management of the vast natural resources found throughout the 464,000 acre Eglin reservation. Approximately 280,000 acres of the reservation are open to public use and enjoyment and specific information regarding hunting, fishing and outdoor recreational opportunities can be obtained by contacting or visiting the Natural Resources Branch office at: 107 Hwy. 85 North, Niceville, Florida.
A permit is required to recreate on the reservation; and in addition to providing maps, regulations and permit fee information, the Natural Resources office has educational displays that promote Eglin’s rare and sensitive natural communities and management efforts.

The Natural Resources Branch hours of operation are:
Monday-Thursday:
7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Sundays and Federal holidays closed.
